Welcome To The Practice

The current situation – DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY

In line with National  (NHS England) guidance to reduce the spread of Coronavirus, Yorkleigh Surgery will be instigating

the following guidance from Monday 16th March.

It has been recommended that practices suspend ALL routine appointments for the time being.

How will this effect you

From Monday 16th March we will only be offering urgent ‘on the day care’, with all patients being triaged over the telephone prior coming into the surgery.
Patients with existing appointments will be contacted by the surgery and offered a telephone consultation.

Why we are doing this

This is a precautionary measure to allow us to ask patients questions prior to visiting the surgery.
This will help us to identify any possible cases of Coronavirus and help avoid further spread of the virus.

Our primary concern is to keep patients / staff safe and to ensure that the practice continues to be able to operate effectively.

If you have Corona Symptoms

Patients with a raised temperature above 37.8C or a new persistent cough regardless of travel should contact NHS111 via their website

How to contact us

Please contact the surgery by calling 01242 519049 if you require urgent ‘on the day care’.
We will then arrange a triage call for you from either a Doctor or a Nurse.

We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

A Community Help Hub has been established for any resident needing support to cope with the changes to their lifestyles made in order to delay the spread of COVID-19.

If a person contacts the hub requesting help with prescriptions and/or medical appointments, the hub will refer these into the NHS Volunteer Responder scheme. Where District Councils have already linked people up with volunteers, those arrangements will remain in place.

People can register for support from the Gloucestershire Community Help Hub using the following site: Gloucestershire Community Help Hub
